PROJECT DETAILS

Delivery of 2 courses:

Barriers: discussing sectarianism and prejudices in Glasgow with the help of sports staff.

Gangs and Knife Crime: a course for young people on the reality and consequences of knife crime.

Set up in 1989 Fairbridge is a national charity supporting young people aged 13-25 to develop the confidence, motivation and skills they need to turn their lives around. Fairbridge equips young people with the tools they need to re-engage in the classroom or workplace. Often participants are from the margins of society, poorly educated or have health or addiction issues. The group works with approximately 200 young people in Glasgow a year.

The two courses funded by the People’s Postcode Trust will aid in citizenship skills and raising participants awareness of the conflicts and barriers that they may have with others in the wider community.
