Make Your Vote That Counts!

Yesterday saw the launch of Wales’ Vote That Counts, an online initiative that gives you the chance to have your say on which charities should receive £20,000 in funding from People’s Postcode Trust.

The 12 charities involved include; Action for Children, Age Cymru, Blind Veterans UK, Breast Cancer Care Cymru, British Heart Foundation Cymru, Llamau, Mencap Cymru, Noah’s Ark Appeal, Tenovus, The Wallich, Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice, and Wales Air Ambulance. These will compete for your vote and making your mind up won’t be easy.

“This year has been tough for many people and so many deserving charities are finding their services in more demand than ever before,” says Lawson Muncaster, Chairman of People’s Postcode Trust. “At People’s Postcode Trust, we felt it was time that we helped in a small way by giving these charities the chance to win a total of £20,000 in funding and also sharing their fantastic work with the generous Welsh public.”

To vote or to find out about the charities, including how the funding would really benefit them, then visit Voting is free, quick and easy – share you vote on Facebook or Twitter and you can get a bonus vote for the same or another charity. Voting closes midnight on 22 June, with the winners announced on 1 July.
