£2k for non-for-profit arts organisation based in Newcastle

Hear Her Roar, organised by Workie Ticket TC, is a community engagement project that highlights Tyneside Women’s untold stories. The aim is to promote women's equality, raise awareness of women's issues and celebrate women by delivering a series of workshops to marginalised groups and vulnerable women on subjects such as coercive control and consent as well as creating a professional production to showcase work and skills.

With funding from People’s Postcode Trust, made possible by players of People’s Postcode Lottery, they created a short film capturing stories to be screened on International Women’s Day.

Members of our team were delighted to visit the project in August and were impressed by the commitment and energy that went into the work of Workie Ticket.
