Dundee and Angus ADHD Support group
Dundee and Angus ADHD Support group were formed to address the lack of support and guidance available to parents and carers who have children living with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
Funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery has allowed the group to purchase a mini bus for the children and young people they help to be taken out on daily trips, week-long residentials and also to offer their carers respite. The benefits here have been twofold as the group are now able to access a wider range of activities, whilst also reducing their travel costs by no longer having to use taxis.
The group have noted that outdoor learning is particularly beneficial for their 50 service users, and thanks to the mini bus they are now able to offer outdoor learning opportunities on a daily basis.
